For owner Charles Janssen...it all started when he was a kid, growing up going to swap meets and car shows with his father. His dad has always been a car enthusiast, having collected many classics since he was a young man.
Taking Charles to swap meets while looking for cars and parts was the start of a natural progression for Charles that led to his current passion for restoring cars and doing what he loves most. Charles saved his money during his high school years and bought a 1970 Road Runner when he graduated. It was his dream car at the time, but was in rough shape...which led to his first restoration project.
Since that time, he has owned and restored many different vehicles over the years. In the late 80’s and early 90’s..Charles went to work in a body shop that performed restorations. He was able to develop expertise while working on a variety of different projects before eventually taking a job at Ward's Body Shop as their painter. After a few years he ended up running the shop....and eventually bought the business from the owner in 1997.
He took over an operation that was founded in 1968 in Denton, where it earned a reputation for excellence before moving to its current location in Krum in 2005.
